Qualifications

• General understanding of small animal restraint focusing on cats and dogs.
• High school diploma required.
• Calm, professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Reliable time management and problem solving; multitasking in hospital.
• Understand and follow established hospital SOPs.
• Able to work independently and with a team.
• Basic understanding of veterinary medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic procedures including blood work, imaging, and endoscopy.
• Monitor and care for animals admitted to internal medicine.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and wound care under supervision.
• Communicate with pet owners about condition and treatment options.
• Maintain medical records and ensure equipment sterilization.
• Assist veterinarians during biopsies and aspiration cytology.
• Stay updated on internal medicine advancements through CE and training.
• Collaborate with veterinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
