Whitesburg Animal Hospital, part of PetVet Care Centers, seeks a Hospital Manager to lead daily hospital operations and support teams in Huntsville, AL. You will drive revenue, control costs, and foster a culture of high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.

The role requires overseeing staff, budgets, compliance, and local vendor relations while maintaining a compassionate, efficient hospital environment for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, health science or related field strongly preferred.
• At least five years of direct office management experience, including two years of supervisory experience.
• May consider an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
• Ability to provide courteous, prompt customer service.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication.
• Establish and maintain productive working relationships; strong time management.
• Flexible with scheduling, including some weekends/holidays.
• Comfort working with animals, hazardous materials, and associated environments.
• Willingness to perform moderately physical tasks as needed.

Responsabilités

• Supervises staff across hospital support departments; achieves labor goals.
• Hires and trains office and clinic support staff; handles new hire paperwork.
• Orients and trains new clinic staff to hospital duties.
• Reviews performance, delivers feedback, and discusses with Regional Manager weekly.
• Documents accidents and files appropriate reports; conducts appraisals.
• Writes policies relating to technical hospital aspects for approval.
• Manages schedules for technical and administrative staff; coordinates with DVM.
• Monitors overtime and attendance; manages daily operations.
• Ensures compliance with administrative responsibilities and budgets.
• Oversees inventory management and billing practices as applicable.
• Maintains licensure compliance and license displays.
