Job summary

Southwest Veterinary Hospital in Bakersfield, CA seeks a Veterinary Hospital Manager to lead a growing team and drive hospital profitability. The role partners with the Managing Veterinarian to ensure top-notch patient care and exemplary client service on-site.

The ideal candidate will oversee operations, payroll, scheduling, and cost controls while championing best practices and a culture of compassion and excellence. In-person interaction is required at our facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• 3-5 years managerial experience in a hospital/retail/service-based setting is preferred.
• Experience leading a veterinary hospital or similar operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own hospital P&L and performance.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to forecast needs.
• Manage accounts receivable and hospital costs.
• Oversee inventory and control expenses.
• Manage payroll and labor scheduling.
• Drive process improvements and best practices.
• Lead client service and operations excellence.
• Implement new technologies to improve efficiency.
