Job summary

Salazar Road Veterinary Clinic in Taos, NM is seeking a Veterinary Hospital Manager to align daily operations with strategic growth. You will lead and mentor teams, manage budgets and schedules, and partner with the Medical Director to elevate patient care and client service.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, regulatory compliance, and culture building in a small-animal practice. Ideal candidates have veterinary management experience or related healthcare leadership, a bachelor's or CVPM,

Qualifications

3+ years of leadership, business management, or operations management experience.
Veterinary hospital management experience strongly preferred; medical, dental, or healthcare practice management experience also considered.
Bachelor's degree, CVPM, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.
Project & Facility Management: Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.
Client & Community Engagement: Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth.
Team Leadership: Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
