Job summary

Sawtooth Animal Center, part of PetVet Care Centers, is seeking a Hospital Manager to lead an efficient hospital support team and drive revenue while controlling costs. You will partner with the Veterinarian to deliver high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, health science or related field preferred.
• Five years of direct office management experience with at least two years of supervisory experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and organizational software.
• Excellent communications skills in writing and speaking.
• Flexible scheduling; ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff within hospital support departments; achieve and maintain labor goals.
• Hires and trains office and technical clinic staff; handle new hire paperwork.
• Orients and trains new clinic staff to hospital operations.
• Reviews performance, delivers feedback, and resolves personnel issues with Regional Manager.
• Conducts timely performance appraisals and documents incidents.
• Writes policies and procedures for technical hospital aspects and secures approvals.
• Manages schedules for technical and administrative staff; coordinates with DVM.
• Monitors overtime hours and workforce management; monitors punches.
• Oversees daily operations and compliance with administrative duties.
• Oversees billing and vendor invoices; ensures invoice accuracy and W-9 collection.
• Maintains licensure and facilities compliance; supports contract negotiations as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
