Job summary

Abqpetcarehospital in Vinton, Virginia is offering veterinary internships that provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. Interns will participate in various responsibilities, including gathering patient histories, performing examinations, and managing patient care.

The internship lasts between two to eight weeks, with eligible students receiving a travel/living expense stipend. Comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision will also be available for qualifying positions.

Job description

Overview

We are a group of sister hospitals that brings a large variety of skill sets and environments to experience. We also host several specialists at our Vinton location, offering opportunities to observe higher‑level procedures and practices such as advanced ultrasound, advanced dentistry, advanced nutrition, and more.

Internship Details

Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students (regardless of class year) are encouraged to participate in NVA externships.
