Join a leading veterinary practice as an extern where you'll gain hands-on clinical experience and collaborate with seasoned veterinarians. This externship offers a supportive learning environment and opportunities to develop essential skills through practical involvement in various medical cases, ensuring an enriching experience for veterinary students.
An externship experience at a NVA hospital offers students a unique opportunity to understand daily practice operations and gain valuable hands-on clinical experience. While each NVA hospital is unique, all share common features: a supportive environment, a commitment to excellent medicine, and a focus on providing exceptional service to animals and their owners.
Students will collaborate closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians to gain experience in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creating treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, observing or assisting with surgical procedures, and managing medical cases. Additionally, externs will enhance their communication skills through interactions with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
