Mt Pleasant Veterinary Clinic is a full-service Animal Hospital with over 25 years of experience. We are proud to be a Cat-Friendly Practice (CFP), with Dr. Boland providing behavioral expertise and education for our feline and canine patients and clients. Our mission is to deliver the highest quality of care and compassion in veterinary medicine, while maintaining a welcoming, informative, and supportive environment for our clients and a positive workplace for our staff.
We offer externship opportunities for veterinary students in their final clinical year. Students will work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gain hands-on experience in patient histories, physical exams, treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, surgical procedures, and medical management. Additionally, students will have opportunities to enhance their communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
Externship durations typically range from two to eight weeks, depending on schedules. Veterinary students in the clinical phase are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend. For details on stipend amounts and program information, click HERE.
