Job summary

The Equipment Specialist, reporting to the Director of Sales – Medical Technology, handles capital equipment sales and provides technical assistance for MWI customers and staff. Serves as an equipment resource ambassador and supports special projects and hospital build initiatives.

Requires veterinary or animal health background, strong software skills, and experience with CRM Salesforce; full-time position within MWI Veterinary Supply Company’s network under Cencora.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in veterinary technology or bachelor’s degree in an animal health field is preferred but not required.
• Three or more years’ experience working in a veterinary clinic or two or more years in a call center environment with an animal health products distributor or manufacturer is necessary.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is needed.
• Experience with CRM Salesforce is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from sales associates and customers to assist in purchasing and implementing capital equipment.
• Manage sales regions as the equipment ambassador and identify needs to grow equipment sales.
• Direct the MWI sales staff on available equipment sales resources and access methods.
• Assist in special projects assigned by team leadership.
• Be or assist as project managers for veterinary hospital new builds, remodels, renovations or relocations as assigned.
• Order entry of complex orders that require higher degree of detail.
