ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital in San Fernando Valley is seeking an experienced Doctor's Assistant to join our Emergency team. We offer competitive pay starting at $21 - $24 per hour (dependent upon experience).

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year veterinary experience in a customer service role.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Friendly and professional demeanor; strong communication.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Board Certified Specialists and Emergency DVMs.
• Serve as liaison between doctors, clients, and patients.
• Organize/ track patient diagnostics.
• Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment.
• Prepare patient discharge reports/ in-hospital updates.
• Communicate with clients, referring DVMs, and pharmacies regarding appointments and prescriptions.

At ACCESS, we recognize the importance of those individuals taking such good care of our pets and their families by offering competitive pay starting at $21 - $24/ hour (dependent upon experience).

Your responsibilities may include:

• Work closely with Board Certified Specialists and Emergency DVMs
• Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients
• Organize/ track patient diagnostics
• Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment
• Prepare patient discharge reports/ in-hospital updates
• Communicate with clients, referring DVMs; and pharmacies as needed regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals, and prescriptions

ACCESS San Fernando Valley also offers shift differentials.

Shift hours worked between:

7pm-11pm = additional $2/hour

11pm-7am = additional $3/hour

any shift on Saturdays and Sundays = additional $2/hour
