Job summary

ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital in San Fernando Valley is seeking an experienced Doctor's Assistant to join our growing Emergency team. Competitive pay starting at $21 - $24 per hour, depending on experience.

Our responsibilities include working with Board Certified Specialists and Emergency DVMs, liaising between doctors, clients, and patients, organizing diagnostics, coordinating hospitalized patient treatment, and communicating about appointments and prescriptions.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of veterinary experience in a customer service role.
• Read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Friendly, professional demeanor with strong communication.
• Willing to work Fridays and Saturdays.
• Experience with ezyVet is a plus.

Responsibilities

At ACCESS, we recognize the importance of those individuals taking such good care of our pets and their families by offering competitive pay starting at $21 - $24/ hour (dependent upon experience).

Our responsibilities may include:

• Work closely with Board Certified Specialists and Emergency DVMs


• Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients


• Organize/ track patient diagnostics


• Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment


• Prepare patient discharge reports/ in-hospital updates


• Communicate with clients, referring DVMs; and pharmacies as needed regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals, and prescriptions

ACCESS San Fernando Valley also offers shift differentials.

Shift differentials

• 7pm-11pm = additional$2/hour


• 11pm-7am = additional$3/hour


• any shift on Saturdays and Sundays = additional$2/hour
