Responsibilities include guiding clients through visits, liaising with doctors, and organizing diagnostics. Candidates should have at least two years of veterinary customer service experience, strong English skills, and a professional demeanor. Shift differentials apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year veterinary experience in a customer service role.
• Must read, write, and speak English fluently.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with ezyvet is a plus.
• Must be able to work Fridays and Saturdays.

ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital in San Fernando Valley is seeking an experienced Doctor's Assistant to join our growing Internal Medicine team!

At ACCESS, we recognize the importance of those individuals taking such good care of our pets and their families by offering competitive pay starting at $21 - $24/ hour (dependent upon experience).

Responsibilities

Our Doctor's Assistants work closely with our medical teams by guiding clients through their visit with ACCESS (from history taking to discharging) helping to establish the foundation for a trusting and empathetic visit.

Your responsibilities may include

• Work closely with Board Certified Specialists and Emergency DVMs
• Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients
• Organize/ track patient diagnostics
• Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment
• Prepare patient discharge reports/ in-hospital updates
• Communicate with clients, referring DVMs; and pharmacies as needed regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals, and prescriptions

Shift Hours Worked Between

• 7pm-11pm = additional $2/hour
• 11pm-7am = additional $3/hour
• any shift on Saturdays and Sundays = additional $2/hour
