ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital in the San Fernando Valley is seeking an experienced Doctor's Assistant to join our Emergency team. The role offers competitive pay starting at $21 - $24 per hour, depending on experience.

We value caring for pets and their families and provide opportunities for growth along with medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. The position requires working Fridays and Saturdays in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year veterinary experience in a customer service role.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Friendly and professional demeanor; strong communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be able to work Fridays and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Board Certified Specialists and Emergency DVMs.
• Serve as liaison between doctors, clients and patients.
• Organize and track patient diagnostics.
• Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment.
• Prepare patient discharge reports and in-hospital updates.
• Communicate with clients, referring DVMs and pharmacies regarding appointments, concerns, updates, and prescriptions.

ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital in San Fernando Valley is seeking an experienced Doctor's Assistant to join our growing Emergency team!

At ACCESS, we recognize the importance of those individuals taking such good care of our pets and their families by offering competitive pay starting at $21 - $24/ hour (dependent upon experience).

Our responsibilities may include:

• Work closely with Board Certified Specialists and Emergency DVMs


• Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients


• Organize/ track patient diagnostics


• Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment


• Prepare patient discharge reports/ in-hospital updates


• Communicate with clients, referring DVMs; and pharmacies as needed regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals, and prescriptions

Shift differentials

• 7pm-11pm = additional$2/hour


• 11pm-7am = additional$3/hour


• any shift on Saturdays and Sundays = additional$2/hour
