The University of Florida Veterinary Diagnostic Lab seeks a Microbiology Technician II to perform a broad range of diagnostic assays across bacterial, fungal, viral and parasitic targets relevant to animal health.

You will conduct culture, identification, susceptibility testing and serology assays, while ensuring timely result entry and specimen handling. A Bachelor’s degree in clinical microbiology or biology and 3 years of lab experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical microbiology or biology-related field.
• Three years of relevant laboratory experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform diagnostic techniques in bacteriology, mycology, mycobacteriology, mycoplasma, serology, virology and parasitology.
• Conduct culture setup, identification and susceptibility testing of pathogens.
• Enter results into hospital information system and bill appropriately.
