Ethos Veterinary Health's VRC Specialty Hospital in Malvern, PA seeks a Veterinary Dermatologist to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and build a thriving dermatology service within a top-tier referral hospital.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
  • Board Certification in Veterinary Dermatology (DACVD) or Residency Trained in Veterinary Dermatology.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage allergic, autoimmune, infectious, endocrine-related, and chronic dermatologic conditions in companion animals.
  • Perform advanced dermatologic diagnostics including skin biopsies, allergy testing, cytology, otic evaluations, and other specialty procedures.
  • Collaborate with Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, Neurology, Emergency & Critical Care, and Radiology.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to improve quality of life and long-term disease management.
  • Mentor technicians, assistants, interns, and support staff; participate in rounds and CE initiatives.
  • Contribute to growth and advancement of Dermatology services within a collaborative hospital.

We are seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Dermatologist who is passionate about advanced medicine, enjoys working closely with fellow specialists, and wants to build a thriving dermatology service within a highly respected specialty practice.

You'll collaborate with specialists in Internal Medicine, Emergency & Critical Care, Medical Oncology, Surgery, Radiology, Rehabilitation, Acupuncture, and Neurology. Our team believes in true interdisciplinary medicine, allowing specialists to work together seamlessly to provide comprehensive care for complex referral patients and achieve the best possible outcomes.

The anticipated starting base salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $200,000 to $230,000 per year.

In your day-to-day, you will:
  • Diagnose and manage a wide variety of allergic, autoimmune, infectious, endocrine-related, and chronic dermatologic conditions affecting companion animals.
  • Perform advanced dermatologic diagnostics, including skin biopsies, allergy testing, cytology, otic evaluations, and other specialty procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate closely with specialists in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, Neurology, Emergency & Critical Care, and Radiology to provide comprehensive patient care for complex referral cases.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving quality of life, long-term disease management, and client satisfaction.
  • Build trusted relationships with referring veterinarians through consultation, communication, and collaborative case management.
  • Guide pet owners through diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and long-term management plans with empathy, clarity, and confidence.
  • Utilize advanced hospital resources and diagnostic technologies to support comprehensive patient care and clinical decision-making.
  • Mentor technicians, assistants, interns, and support staff while fostering a culture of teamwork, education, and clinical excellence.
  • Participate in specialty rounds, continuing education initiatives, and multidisciplinary case discussions that support ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and advancement of Dermatology services within a collaborative specialty hospital environment.
