Virginia Veterinary Centers - Short Pump is seeking a Veterinary Dentist & Oral Surgeon for a full-time opportunity in Richmond, Virginia. Compensation ranges from $200,000 to $230,000 plus 25% production, within an established Dentistry & Oral Surgery department in a multi-specialty hospital.

You will collaborate with specialists and emergency clinicians, provide advanced dentistry, and help grow specialty medicine while benefiting from Ethos resources and mentorship.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Board Certification in Dentistry & Oral Surgery or Residency Trained in Dentistry & Oral Surgery.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental and oral surgical care for patients requiring advanced dentistry services.
• Collaborate closely with specialists and emergency clinicians to develop coordinated treatment plans for complex cases.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with referring veterinarians and support continuity of care throughout the patient journey.
• Contribute to the continued success and growth of the established Dentistry & Oral Surgery department.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
