Job description

Care Coordinator - Veterinary Customer Care Representative
Home with Dignity

Home with Dignity is a nationwide mobile veterinary practice providing compassionate, in-home euthanasia services to pets and their families. We are looking for a Care Coordinator to join our team and serve as a compassionate, knowledgeable first point of contact for families seeking end-of-life care.

As a Care Coordinator, you’ll do more than answer phones and schedule appointments. You’ll listen, provide reassurance, answer questions, gather important information, and help families understand what to expect. You’ll also coordinate closely with our veterinarians and operations team to ensure each visit is thoughtfully scheduled and handled with care.

This is meaningful work. Every conversation matters, and the support you provide can help make an incredibly difficult day a little more peaceful.

This is a remote position. Candidates must reside in the Mountain, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones.

What You’ll Do:
  • Support families: Serve as a compassionate first point of contact, answering questions and providing guidance throughout the scheduling process.
  • Schedule appointments: Coordinate in-home veterinary visits across multiple veterinarians’ schedules while considering availability, location, and travel time.
  • Gather information: Collect accurate client and pet information to help our veterinary team prepare for each visit.
  • Communicate with the team: Partner closely with veterinarians and operations staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
  • Create a caring experience: Provide empathy, patience, and professionalism during every interaction.
  • Stay organized: Manage multiple calls, conversations, and scheduling needs while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
What We're Looking For:
  • Veterinary experience: At least 2 years of direct veterinary, veterinary front-desk, or veterinary customer-care experience.
  • Compassion: Comfortable having sensitive, emotional conversations and supporting families with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen carefully and explain information clearly.
  • Organization: Strong multitasking and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with veterinarians, operations staff, and other team members.
  • Technology: Comfortable using scheduling systems, communication platforms, and other digital tools, with the ability to quickly learn new technology.
  • Remote work: Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Location: Must reside in the Mountain, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones.
What We Offer:
  • Up to $19/hour starting pay, based on experience
  • Flexible part-time and full-time schedules options
  • Bonus opportunities
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Short- and long-term disability
  • Life insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Employee Assistance Program, including access to licensed social workers
  • Paid time off
  • And more!

Join Home with Dignity and be part of a team that brings comfort, compassion, and dignity to pet families nationwide. Your role will have a lasting impact, providing one of the greatest final gifts a pet can receive.
