Job summary

Partner Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center in Frederick, MD seeks a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalist to lead our critical care service and oversee the care of severely ill hospitalized patients. You will manage transfers from the ER and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team for resuscitation and ongoing intensive care.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university.
• Board-certification or residency-trained in Critical Care.
• Maryland licensure in good standing.
• Ability to make decisions and communicate clearly with team and pet families.
• Commitment to high standard of medicine and ethics.
• Clinical experience in emergency medicine or general practice.
• Interpersonal skills and mentorship for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management of critically ill hospitalized patients and coordinate transfers from ER and other services.
• Provide consultation and support to other departments for complex cases and challenging anesthesia.
• Collaborate with Neurology, Surgery, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Emergency Medicine.
• Contribute to advancing clinical care and mentoring team members.
