Job summary

Mixlab, the fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a Compounding Pharmacy Technician in our Texas pharmacy. This part-time role is scheduled at approximately 28 hours per week, with Sundays and major holidays off.

A sign-on bonus is offered, and we provide benefits and opportunities for growth. You will assist with nonsterile compounding under supervision, maintain accuracy, monitor inventory, and support the pharmacist to ensure smooth TX operations for veterinarians and pet

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a compounding setting.
Experience working with veterinarians or in veterinary care is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and a customer/pet-focused mindset.
Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to learn new processes and work collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities

Assist with nonsterile compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topicals, otics and medicated treats under the pharmacist's supervision.
Consistently meet standards of accuracy and potency.
Package and label prescriptions, including bulk medications.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed.
Adhere to USP guidelines for non-sterile compounding.
Perform environmental monitoring and cleaning per SOPs.
Assist team members and problem-solve with pharmacist support.
