Job summary

Mixlab, the fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a Compounding Pharmacy Technician in our New York pharmacy. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional driven to make it happen for our clients and their pets, while ensuring NY operations run smoothly and Mixlab remains a dependable resource for customers and veterinarians alike.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician working directly with pharmacists in a compounding setting.
Experience in veterinary care or medical field, or strong interest in the area.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Assist with nonsterile compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topicals, otic preparations, and medicated treats under supervising pharmacist.
Maintain accuracy and potency in compound preparation.
Pack and label prescriptions, including bulk medications.
Monitor inventory, reorder low or expiring items, and receive new stock.
Adhere to USP guidelines for non-sterile compounding.
Perform environmental monitoring and cleaning per SOPs.
Collaborate with team and support pharmacist as needed.
