Qualifications

• At least 2 years as a pharmacy technician in a compounding pharmacy.
• Experience in veterinary care or medical field, or strong interest.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Customer-focused mindset.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative team player.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nonsterile compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topicals, otic preparations, and medicated treats under supervision of the pharmacist.
• Consistently meet standards of accuracy and potency.
• Package and label prescriptions, including bulk medications.
• Monitor inventory levels, reorder low inventory or expiring chemicals, and receive new inventory.
• Adhere to USP guidelines for non-sterile compounding.
• Perform environmental monitoring and cleaning tasks as indicated in SOPs.
• Assist team members and problem solve with pharmacist’s support.
