Michigan State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is seeking a Medical Technologist in the Clinical Pathology Laboratory to perform and evaluate complex tests. The role includes work in clinical chemistry, immunohematology, hematology, coagulation, immunology, and urinalysis, with Sunday-Thursday shifts and varying evenings/weekends.

Reporting to the supervisor, you will perform assays, operate instruments, maintain QA/QC, and consult with veterinarians to interpret results.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in medical technology or related field plus one-year internship.
• One to three years of related lab experience in hematology, chemistry, immunohematology, urinalysis or coagulation.
• MT (ASCP) or CLS (NCA) eligibility/certification.

Responsabilités

• Perform and evaluate complex chemical and microscopic tests; data entry and results reporting.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot instruments; maintain QA/QC records.
• Contribute to policy development and process improvements; participate in staff meetings.
• Consult with veterinarians to interpret lab results for client reports.
