Veterinary Client Service Representative

Are you looking to join a great team at a family-friendly private practice in Livonia, Michigan? We are seeking to expand our veterinary support staff. We have wonderful clients who trust us to care for their pets, and we strive to provide a safe and caring environment.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

1. Answering phones, documenting calls, and relaying messages to doctors and management.
2. Having knowledge of all services offered, as well as canine and feline care and behavior, to educate clients and callers.
3. Scheduling appointments and surgeries.
4. Guiding clients and patients to exam rooms.
5. Ensuring all client personal information is accurate.
6. Providing discharge instructions to clients.
7. Entering and completing recalls for doctors.
8. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
9. Performing light cleaning duties, including end-of-day cleaning.

In addition, our receptionists should:

1. Have a strong attention to detail.
2. Be familiar with Windows-based software (proficiency in Cornerstone is a plus).
3. Have a basic knowledge of preventive canine/feline health care or a willingness to learn.
4. Be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
5. Handle interactions with doctors, clients, and staff professionally, even under stress.
6. Handle animals with care, compassion, and competence, even in difficult situations.
7. Enjoy working as part of a team to meet client needs.
