AmeriVet is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Lima, OH to be the first and last point of contact for clients. You will manage appointments, answer calls and emails, and ensure smooth communication between clients and the veterinary team.

You will greet clients warmly, gather essential medical information, and handle scheduling and billing with accuracy while promoting available services and online resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, client-focused service mindset.
• Prior customer service experience, preferably in veterinary or healthcare settings.
• Basic proficiency with technology, including scheduling software and online communication platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, even during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and emails promptly with professional, friendly service.
• Schedule appointments based on client needs and veterinarian availability, including forward booking.
• Send appointment reminders, confirmations, and follow-up messages to keep clients informed.
• Greet clients warmly and ensure a positive experience throughout their visit.
• Gather medical information via active listening and triage inquiries to the medical team.
• Update client and patient records in the practice management system with accuracy.
• Process billing transactions and assist with insurance claims as needed.
• Inform clients about services, preventive care, and how to book online or shop in the store.
