Job summary

Banfield is seeking a paraprofessional veterinary assistant to support the hospital team in delivering high-quality care. You will assist with client intake, education on wellness plans, and routine procedures under the veterinarian's guidance.

The role includes handling client communications, client education about Optimum Wellness Plans, and scheduling, while maintaining clean facilities and assisting with surgeries as needed.

Qualifications

• Act as paraprofessional CSC or veterinary assistant/technician to support hospital team.
• Educate clients about wellness plans and services.
• Assist with surgery as applicable and monitor hospitalized pets.

Responsibilities

• Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars within the team and hospital.
• Recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and scheduling appointments.
• Manage client flow to maximize productivity and care quality.
• Assist with documentation, client communication, and medical records.
• Handle retail dispensing under veterinarian instructions and process invoices.
• Support veterinary staff to ensure clean, organized treatment areas and safety.
