Cryan Veterinary is seeking a Veterinary Business Accountant to join our Westerville finance team. You will co-manage bookkeeping staff, own key processes, and strengthen our financial foundation across multi-state relief services and clinics. You’ll oversee QuickBooks, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.

The role emphasizes process improvement, internal controls, and collaboration with upper management on projects, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience including mentoring staff.

Veterinary Business Accountant

Westerville Office | Full-Time

About the Role

We're looking for a Veterinary Business Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you'll co-manage bookkeeping staff taking ownership of processes, and helping to strengthen the operational foundation of our veterinary enterprises. Your duties will include (but not limited to) helping to oversee: all QuickBooks activities, lead the team's preparation and review of journal entries, conduct balance sheet reconciliations, prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, help facilitate month-, quarter-, and year-end general ledger closing, including analysis of financial information and status summaries, prepare audit support for external financial statement audits as needed, drive process improvement and automation initiatives, document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls, co-manage/coach/develop bookkeeping team members, including setting priorities, assigning tasks, tracking deliverables, and reviewing their work, assist with business projects and requests from upper management.

What We Need

• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, including experience managing and mentoring accounting staff
• Expert-level use of QuickBooks
• Advanced Excel skills, including advanced formulas and pivot tables
• Working knowledge of GAAP and the ability to apply accounting principles in practice
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes
