Priority Pet Urgent Care in Ankeny, IA, is hiring a Veterinary Assistant with at least one year of experience. You will handle animal restraint, triage, sample collection, and assist with diagnostics, imaging, and anesthesia.

Qualifications

• Experienced Veterinary Assistant with minimum 1 year experience required.
• Ability to properly restrain pets.
• Evening and weekend shift availability.

• Proficiency in sample collection, medical histories, lab tests, radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Restrain animals as needed and triage incoming patients.
• Collect and analyze lab samples and assist with diagnostics.
• Perform diagnostic imaging and provide nursing care for medical/hospitalized cases.
• Prepare and assist in surgical procedures; assist with anesthesia management.
