Job summary

AmeriVet in Morristown, VT is hiring a Veterinary Technician or Experienced Assistant to join a friendly, team-focused practice. The ideal candidate will have hands-on patient care experience, rooming patients, and support surgical procedures.

You’ll assist with blood draws, radiographs, animal handling, and client education while upholding compassionate care. Competitive pay, a $500 sign-on bonus, CE allowances, and other benefits are offered. Opportunities for growth are available.

• Excellent communication and ability to gain strong organizational skills

Who We’re Looking For:

We are currently looking to hire a Veterinary Technician or Experienced Assistant t o join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

Requirements:

• Experienced Technician with 2 years of in-clinical setting

• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment is a plus. Experience working with these tools is even better

• Passion for working with animals and their owners

• Ability to learn proper animal handling, fear-free training, and restraint

• Ability to learn common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital setting

Pay Wage : The hourly pay rate for this position starts at $20.00 -$25.00 hourly, this varies depending on experience, education, certifications, and licensure.

• Additional $500.00 Sign-on bonus!

• Continuing Education (CE) allowance
