Sequist Animal Hospital in Morristown, Vermont is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate team. The role supports veterinarians during exams and surgeries and helps deliver high-quality care to patients and clients.

We offer a four-day work week from Monday to Friday, no weekend or late-night shifts, and a pay range of $20.00 to $25.00 per hour based on experience and certifications. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available for surgical experience.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting veterinarians during exams and surgical procedures.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and veterinary products.
• Ability to safely restrain and handle animals.
• Experience administering medications, vaccines, and treatments.
• Experience running lab tests and collecting samples.
• Familiarity with radiology, including dental imaging.
• Phlebotomy skills and catheter placement.
• Strict sterilization of hospital equipment and rooms.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams and surgical procedures.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
• Run lab diagnostics and collect samples.
• Perform radiology techniques, including dental imaging.
• Monitor anesthesia and pre/post-operative status.
• Maintain equipment and sterilization.
• Educate clients with clear information.
