VCA Promenade Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician Supervisor (credentialing preferred but not required) to help oversee clinic operations and lead our team of Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants.

About Us

We are a 2-doctor full service veterinary hospital offering primary care, illness care, surgery and dentistry located in Lauderhill, Florida.

Compensation

$21 - $23.00 / hr based on skill set, experience, and licensure status.

Schedule

Full time, weekend rotation required.

About The Role

As Veterinary Technician Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Directing workflow on the floor
• Cultivating an engaging work environment and maintaining our strong hospital culture
• Working cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
• Helping with the interview process for potential new hires and onboarding all new associates
• Assisting in the educational development of technicians and their skills
• Conducting staff meetings
• Providing opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
• Mentoring technicians within the department
• Resolving conflicts in a professional and humble manner
• Refining and implementing protocols
• Ensuring that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

Having mastered the entire range of vet tech skills yourself, you are a role model for the team. You will work alongside our Veterinarians, Hospital Manager, and Assistant Manager to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently, and foster a winning environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of clinical experience
• Team leadership experience
• Passion for Veterinary Medicine
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
