Job summary

VCA Pines West Animal Hospital in Pembroke Pines, FL is hiring an Experienced Veterinary Assistant for a full-time position. You will support patient care, anesthesia and surgery, radiology, dentistry and medical recordkeeping while delivering client education.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) or technician in training.
• Full-time availability with weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and client education.
• Assess patients and assist with anesthesia and surgery.
• Perform radiology and dental procedures as needed.
• Assist with catheter placement and venipuncture.
• Perform laboratory work and manage medications.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 / hr is based on skill set, and experience.

Schedule: Full time, weekend rotation required.
