All Creatures Veterinary Clinic is expanding! We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, compassionate and detailed‑oriented candidate to join our team. This position includes the duties of both a customer service representative and veterinary assistant. Candidate must be able to multi‑task and exhibit excellent customer service in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a veterinary clinic but we are willing to train the right individual.

Our practice is located in the beautiful recreational community of Minocqua, Wisconsin. We see a variety of patients including companion animals as well as exotics, and pocket pets. Our practice is paper‑light and offers the latest in equipment and technology.

Work Schedule & Compensation

Work schedule is M‑F with 1–2 Saturdays per month. This position is available as either full‑time averaging 35‑39 hours per week (season dependent) or part‑time. Rate: $15‑$18 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments
• Proper documentation and record keeping
• Collection of payments
• Housekeeping and cleaning of facilities and exterior walkways
• Assist with patient care and treatment
• Monitor hospitalized pets / monitor/aid in caring for animals after surgery
• Maintain inventory and stocking
• Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims
• Aiding with routine diagnostic tests (i.e. taking radiographs, running bloodwork, reading fecal)
• Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments/equipment
• Clean/disinfect cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas of hospital
• Administer medications under Veterinarian/Vet Tech supervision
• Help clients with their pets
• Skills of an unlicensed technician are a plus
• Potential financial assistance with Penn Foster program to become licensed as a Veterinary technician

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older
• Must be a self‑starter, able to multitask and a team player
• Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain
• Prefer 1+ years of experience, but willing to train the right candidate
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (lifting, carrying and restraining animals; able to lift 40 lbs. on own; walking or standing for extended periods; works in bent or squatting positions)
• Experienced in a teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members
