Job summary

University West Pet Clinic in the United States is seeking a part-time Vet Assistant to join our busy team. If you provide excellent customer service, have strong communication, and a desire to learn in a veterinary setting, this could be ideal.

You will assist with patient care, monitor hospitalized pets, restrain animals during procedures, help with diagnostics, and support daily hospital operations. Prior animal handling experience is helpful; Saturday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift 35+ lbs.
• Weekend Saturdays availability.
• Prior experience with animals helpful.
• Customer service experience preferred.

University West Pet Clinic is a busy animal hospital looking for one more person to add to our team as a part-time Vet Assistant! If you have excellent customer service and communication skills, have a great sense of urgency, an excellent attention to detail, have a desire to learn about and work in the veterinary medical profession, and love animals, this may be the position for you!

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist with patient care and treatment
• Monitor hospitalized pets
• Maintain inventory

REQUIREMENTS

• 18+ years old. Highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 35+ lbs.
• Prior experience with animal handling.
• Customer service experience preferred, veterinary knowledge or experience is a plus but not required.
• Must be available Saturdays in addition to varying hours throughout the week.
• Must pass a routine background check and drug screen.
