Job summary

VCA Redmond Animal Hospital in Redmond, WA is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to support our Doctor and Technician teams in delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

You will help restrain and assist during exams, take medical histories and vitals, manage records, and assist with lab work and imaging while maintaining a safe, clean hospital environment.

We offer a 4x10 schedule, competitive hourly pay, and opportunities for growth and CE.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting veterinarians and technicians in a clinical setting.
• Maintains accurate medical records and communication with clients.
• Assists with exams and routine procedures including restraint.
• Collects medical histories and patient vitals.
• Handles medications and prescriptions where permitted.

Responsibilities

• Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
• Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
• Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
• Maintaining medical records.
• Assisting Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
