Job summary

VCA Veterinary Emergency Service & Veterinary Specialty Center in Middleton, WI is expanding its Pet CancerCare Center and is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for our Medical Oncology Services.

This role supports chemotherapy administration, oncology patient care, and collaboration with the Oncology team in a fast-paced environment. The part-time schedule from 8 am to 5 pm provides a meaningful opportunity to contribute to pets and families facing cancer diagnoses.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of clinical experience in veterinary medicine.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for veterinary medicine and elevating team performance.

• Assisting with chemotherapy administration and safety protocols
• Handling oncology patient intakes, treatments, and follow-up appointments
