Job summary

Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center (WVRC) in Waukesha, WI is hiring a Veterinary Assistant, Oncology. This full-time role supports board-certified oncologists and the veterinary team across chemotherapy, anesthesia, and diagnostic procedures in a state-of-the-art facility.

Expect responsibilities from vitals to medical documentation, with a commitment to compassionate client service. No weekends, four 10-hour shifts, some holidays, and a starting pay of $16.50/hour+ based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals and communicate findings to the veterinary team.
• Collect diagnostic samples and assist non-lab diagnostics.
• Safely restrain patients for exams and procedures.
• Assist with IV catheter placement and maintenance.
• Prepare for and assist with diagnostic and anesthetic procedures.
