SouthPark Animal Clinic in Littleton, Colorado, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for clients and patients across hospital care, including surgery, dentistry, and outpatient procedures.

This role offers a versatile workload across companion animals and diverse species, emphasizes safe handling, accurate records, client education, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment with a 4/10 schedule.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Proficiency in safe animal handling and stress-free restraint.
• Strong client communication and education.
• Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and patient care.
• Ability to assist with exams, treatments, blood draws, and outpatient procedures.
• Ability to assist in surgical procedures and dental prophy's.
• Experience collecting patient histories and obtaining patient weights and vital signs.
• Ability to maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry.
• Providing safe, gentle patient handling and stress-free restraint during outpatient and procedural care.
• Preparing patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service.
• Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces.
