Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA approved Veterinary Assistant program or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians to ensure quality pet care and client education.
• Monitor hospitalized or surgical patients as allowed by state practice acts.
• Educate clients about wellness plans, preventive care, and hospital services.
• Maintain medical charts and ensure safety and sterility in treatment areas.
• Mentor paraprofessionals and support hospital operations.
