Valhalla Animal Hospital in Valhalla, NY is seeking a motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our hands-on care team. You will support clinicians with patient care, treatment procedures, and surgical prep in a busy clinic environment.

We welcome candidates with 1–2 years of veterinary experience or those pursuing LVT credentials. Part-time or full-time opportunities are available, with a competitive hourly pay and strong growth potential in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of veterinary experience preferred, ideally with hands-on treatment experience.
• Experience assisting with blood draws, IV catheter placement, and surgical procedures is a plus.
• Candidates enrolled in a Veterinary Technician program or pursuing LVT credentials are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Safely restrain dogs and cats with varying temperaments.
• Assist veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians with patient care and procedures.
• Provide hands-on treatment support including blood draws and IV catheter placement.
• Assist with surgical preparation, monitoring, procedures, and postoperative care.
• Educate clients on basic pet care and communicate professionally.
