Grayling Hospital for Animals in Grayling, MI is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited, small animal hospital. You will support doctors and technicians, help with exams, procedures, and client education, and contribute to a collaborative team dedicated to excellent patient care.

We value work-life balance with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends. Preferred 1 year of hospital experience, strong communication, and compassion.

Qualifications

Preferred 1 year of experience in an animal hospital.
Passionate about animal care.
A strong team player.
Compassionate and dependable.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Interested in learning and growing their veterinary skills.
A positive communicator who enjoys building relationships with coworkers and clients.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient restraint and handling.
Support appointments, examinations, and treatments.
Prepare patients for procedures and surgery.
Monitor and care for hospitalized patients.
Maintain clean and organized care areas.
Communicate with clients and educate them.
Assist with lab and diagnostic procedures.
Support a positive, collaborative environment.
