WellHaven Pet Health in Tumwater is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, educate clients, and uphold hospital standards of care. The role is onsite at our hospital, with shifts including potential evenings/holidays.

You will perform medical tasks such as anesthesia support, dentistry, venipuncture, client communication, and charting, while learning and growing within a collaborative team that values growth and work-life balance.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in the veterinary industry.
• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Assist veterinarians and technicians in surgery, dentistry, and lab procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and client communication.
• Support reception duties: phone, scheduling, patient intake and discharge.
• Manage supplies and inventory.
• Ensure safety and sterile technique compliance.
• Educate clients about wellness plans and pet care.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and company policies.
