Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, educate clients, and maintain high standards of care. The role involves assisting in surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics, performing venipuncture, and managing medical records in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Onsite position in Seattle, WA with opportunities for growth and team mentorship. Requires a High School Diploma and 6+ months in veterinary care; NAVTA-approved program is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in the veterinary industry.
• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in surgical assistance, dentistry, venipuncture, and sterile technique.
• Support veterinarians and technicians to maintain hospital efficiency.
• Educate clients about wellness and care plans.
• Assist with reception tasks including appointments and patient intake/discharge.
• Maintain accurate medical records and hospital documentation.
