Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is a growing network of hospitals focused on people, pets, practice, and community. The Veterinary Assistant provides critical support to veterinarians and technicians, educates clients, and maintains high care standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

This onsite role requires 6+ months of veterinary experience or NAVTA-approved training, including patient handling, charting, and basic procedures with anesthesia, dentistry, and labs.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in veterinary setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and technicians in exams and procedures.
• Educate clients on pet care and Wellness Plans.
• Handle reception duties: scheduling, calls, check-in/out.
