WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, educate clients, and maintain high standards of care. This onsite role at our Savage hospital involves reception duties, charting, and animal care across dogs and cats with a collaborative team.

The position requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent), 6+ months in veterinary care, and NAVTA training is preferred. Expect a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on safety and client service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians in surgeries, dentistry, and lab procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical charts and client communications.
• Handle reception duties: phone, scheduling, intake and discharge.
• Educate clients about wellness plans and pet care.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and hospital policies.
• Manage hospital supplies and inventory.
