VCA Aurora Animal Hospital in Aurora, IL is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support doctors and technicians in a fast-paced GP practice. This role offers part-time hours and a chance to grow within a collaborative team.

You will restrain and handle animals, prep rooms, assist with exams, collect histories, monitor hospitalized pets, and maintain medical records with compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary assistant or similar role preferred.
• Basic veterinary terminology knowledge helpful.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Restrain and safely handle pets for exams and treatments.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Assist doctors and technicians with appointments and procedures.

Primary Care Veterinary Assistant at VCA Aurora Animal Hospital in Aurora, IL

Schedule:

Part-time, Thursday, Friday, and one Saturday shift per month. 20-25 hours.

Compensation

$18 - 20.00/hour

Pay range is negotiable based on experience, education, skills, and credentials.
