Job summary

Q Street Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary Receptionist hybrid for a seasonal role with potential for a permanent position. This role blends patient care and client service, featuring a four‑day work week, rotating Saturdays, and no nights or holidays.

You will join a collaborative team, helping with clinical tasks and front-desk duties while building client relationships and supporting pets and their families.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary assistant and/or veterinary reception experience.
• Strong communication and client-service skills.
• Ability to transition between patient-care and front-desk responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care, examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Safely handle and restrain patients while keeping them comfortable.
• Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to client questions.
• Move between clinical and reception responsibilities as needed.
