Animal Family Veterinary Care Center is seeking a Receptionist/Vet Assistant to join a busy AAHA-accredited practice. You will handle client calls and appointments, assist veterinarians, and support patient care in a collaborative setting.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, organization, and time management as you interact with clients, manage records, and process payments. We offer a four-day work week and benefits in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of client services experience preferred.
• Must be computer literate with basic software navigation.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record patient medical history.
• Take and record vitals: temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Explain procedures to clients and gather needed information.
• Prepare patients, medications, and instruments for procedures.
• Support DVM before appointments with concise patient needs.
• Assist others as needed during downtime.
• Process payments and issue invoices at checkout.
• Document medical notes accurately in the chart.
• Assist with patient restraint to ensure safety.
• Medicate patients per DVM instructions and handle medications.
• Fill prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies when needed.
• Collect blood, urine, and other samples safely.
• Perform radiology procedures and share images with doctors.
