Qualifications

• Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience.
• Solid technical skills: venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures.
• Ability to triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Professional and compassionate client communication skills.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Genuine passion for veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
• Run in-house laboratory testing, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, and more.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
• Monitor patients under anesthesia.
• Triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories.
• Educate clients about patient care, medications, and preventive care.
• Provide patient monitoring and supportive care (TPRs, pain scoring, wound care).
• Maintain clean and well-stocked treatment and exam areas.
• Follow infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and team members to provide compassionate care.
