Job summary

The Pet Hospital is a full-service veterinary clinic providing high-quality care since 2001. The Veterinary Assistant supports veterinarians and technicians, assists with surgeries and patient exams, and educates clients about care and procedures.

Responsibilities include monitoring hospitalized pets, preparing samples, maintaining records, and ensuring clean, organized exam and treatment areas. Strong communication and compassion are essential.

Qualifications

• Weekend availability may be required.
• Previous veterinary experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with heavier lifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatment.
• Monitor hospitalized pets and maintain inventory.
• Prepare prescriptions and perform routine in-house lab work.
• Educate clients regarding veterinary care and procedures.
