Moreland Animal Hospital in Moreland, GA seeks an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for clients and patients across hospital care.

This versatile role offers opportunities in patient care, client service, surgery, dentistry, and outpatient procedures, with a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule and a competitive hourly rate. You will work in a supportive, fast-paced clinic that emphasizes teamwork and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary assistant or related role preferred.
• Proficiency in safe animal handling and restraint for dogs and cats of varying sizes.
• Experience with radiology, phlebotomy, injections, lab sample collection, inpatient nursing care, and vital signs.
• Surgical preparation and assisting during procedures with aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Support exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgeries, and dentistry.
• Provide safe patient handling and restraint during care.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments.
• Monitor anesthesia and support recovery as directed by the team.
• Perform dental prophylaxis and dental radiography.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly.
